Celebrities are into the Sexy Chef diet
A diet plan that works wonders for one could have little to no effect on another. There are so many factors involved in promoting weight loss that US-certified fitness nutritionist Nadine Tengco, who designed the dietary plan for the contestants of The Biggest Loser Philippines, says it’s “like rocket science.”
With this in mind, The Sexy Chef, a health food catering service under OBC 5Star, Inc. headed by chef Myrna DeMauro and her two daughters, singer-actress Rachel Alejandro and chef Barni Alejandro-Rennebeck, decided to create 11 different diet programs so that their clients can choose what is right for them. They deliver meals for the South Beach, Pounds Away Calorie Controlled, Sugar Buster, Body After Baby, Health For Two, Fat Burn, Fight Fat, HCG, Cohen and Back To Balance diet programs as well as their newest offering, Eat Clean Detox Plan.
Rachel, the co-owner and company’s VP for marketing, said, “In 2004, during the height of the popularity of the South Beach Diet, we started delivering healthy meals that adhered to the principles of the said program. Years later, we started getting inquiries about a diet plan that addressed the nutritional needs of breastfeeding new moms. Shortly after, we launched the Body After Baby Program. Recently, my friend Ruffa Gutierrez sent me a message asking if we could prepare meals according to her diet prescription from the Cohen Lifestyle Clinic. I told her that I would get our people to work on this right away. Just a few weeks later, we were catering Cohen Diet meals to Ruffa and Raymond Gutierrez, among many others.”
Chef Barni, VP for product development, said, “We keep evolving and creating new products because we believe that there is always something new to learn. We listen to what our clients want and provide a convenient way for them to reach their weight loss goals while enjoying delicious, nutritious food.”
The recent Food Lovers Party was attended by media members and celebrities like Martin Nievera, Gretchen Fullido, Amanda Griffin-Jacob, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Dingdong Avanzado, Joanna Ampil and Hajji, Nino and Ali Alejandro and Lougee Basabas of Delara.
The Sexy Chef and its sister outfit Chef Mom’s D Lite introduced their latest offerings. It was held at the Mezzanine Ballroom of Imperial Palace Hotel through the generosity of Lily Monteverde. The guests feasted on food featured in their Back to Balance for Weight Loss Resistance Program and the new diet Eat Clean Detox Plan. This seven-day vegan program features detoxifying juices from Juju Cleanse combined with meals that are free from animal products, wheat, preservatives, hydrogenated oils and refined sugars. It was created for people who only have one week to prepare for that special occasion. It is also perfect for those who feel like they have been polluting their bodies with alcohol and junk food and need to clean out their system.
For those who are looking for an affordable and convenient way to have healthy meals delivered to their home or office, The Sexy Chef formally launched its affordable Dine Lite 350 Calorie Meals Menu with as many as 18 variants.
One of the highlights of that afternoon was the announcement of The Sexy Chef’s new partnership with Sexy Solutions of Belo Medical Group. The owners couldn’t be prouder to have been chosen as the new supplier of the Anti-Plateau Diet, a supplement to slimming treatments for Sexy Solutions’ clients designed by the company’s resident nutritionist Nadine.
Regular client and new mom Regine Velasquez, said, “I like the food na kahit I’m on a diet, I don’t really feel I’m dieting kasi masarap ‘yung food ng The Sexy Chef. I was 165 lbs. Now I’m 140 lbs. na lang. Thank you, Sexy Chef!”
